Letters to the Editor from an American living in Israel. I'm always frustrated by Israel's inability to communicate basic fundamentals of the situation here, so I started my own private "hasbara" campaign through letters to the editor and e-mails. Most posts are my letters that were published in American newspapers, some will be written for this blog or articles that I think are notable.

I don't really care what Californians would do. Frankly, I think U.S. is a very bad role model in these issues.
I don't even pretend to have an answer to what we *should* do. But two things I know: the people of the Negev have a right to live their life in peace, and that right cannot be paid for by the blood of Palestinian children. Its simple, whatever you do - there are things you DO NOT DO.
According to http://www.cbs.gov.il/ts/, there are over 1,000 road accidents involving casualties in Israel every months. Over 1,000 every month. Every months more that the victims of Palestinian terrorism in 10 years. Do you propose we start shooting drunk drivers?
